***Our Goal***

Our goal is to explore textile manipulation and the diversity of mixed media

as an art form.

FOR SALE PAGES ON THE WEBSITE

If you have a personal web page in GALLERIES on the website then you have the opportunity to list your original works for sale on the FOR SALE page.   15% sales commission is due to AQuA after sale so price accordingly.  A quality image of the work is necessary. Marge will have all the show images, Frank Nored can shoot your work, and excellent home made digital photos will be accepted.  Send image plus measurements and comments about the work.  This section of the site can be used for any fiber related original work you want to sell.  If a work sells from your gallery page that is not on the for sale pages AQuA will still be due 15%.

It will work like this:  Marge puts the art up on the site.  When a buyer is interested they contact you directly.  You will transact the sale and clear the check before mailing the work.  This is an old fashioned handshake business with you being extra cautious along the way.  Any suggestions for making this transaction safer are welcome.  Send them to Marge Fox.

***Definition of an art quilt***

An Art Quilt is an original exploration of a concept or idea rather than the handing down of a “pattern”.  It  experiments with textile manipulation, color, texture and/or a diversity of mixed media.  An Art Quilt  pushes quilt world boundaries.  An Art Quilt should consist predominately of fiber or  fiber-like material with one or more layers  held together with stitches or piercing of the layers.
