Time Line:

June 16, 2007                   Submissions for “Stories of Our Ancestors” due at AQuA meeting

                                          Members’ Choice identified for use on postcard

Week of June 18              Maureen Hendricks, SAQA, juries submissions in Gateway

July-August                       Quilts are securely stored

July 1                                  Results of jurying available

Early July                          Photography of accepted submissions

July 16                                Image(s) for postcard available to Art Department at Mesa State College

August 1                           Press release sent out by Art Department; AQuA may also send its own releases

August 6                           Our mailing list names in electronic form to MSC Art Department; we pay additional bulk-

                                                        rate postage (there is a specific Excel format to integrate with Art Department’s)

August 18 & 19                  Installation of exhibit following AQuA meeting

August 20-

  September 7                    Exhibit opens in Johnson Gallery at Mesa State College; M-F, 9-4

 (free admission to the Gallery)

Friday, August 24            Gallery Talk by Maureen Hendricks and AquA Members, 6:30

                                          Public Reception, 7-9 (MSC pays for reception)

September 15                    Quilts returned to artists at AQuA meeting

Checklist for Artists:

____       Entry Form – one form for each quilt (fill in all blanks)

____       Check – for entry fee and photography

____       If using other photographer – CD with full and close-up photographs

____       Slat(s) with drilled holes and artist’s name and title of piece written on each slat

____       Label in bottom left corner of back of piece

____       Temporary covering for label (tape, muslin, etc.)
